Icelandic Flower Essences contain the essence of Iceland's nature: crystal-clear Icelandic spring water and hardy Icelandic plants that grow in un- polluted air. The plants are collected only in places far away from human habitation and traffic, where they can be found in their pure and most powerful state. Only a few of the individual remedies contained in the three sets, Awareness I, II and III, are foreign to Iceland and these are organically grown.

Vibrational Medicine: How flower essences work Flower remedies have a positive effect on the emotions, mind and soul. Old traumata, tension and stress tend to remain as blocks in the body, mind and emotions, constricting the flow of energy and thereby weakening the body. The flower essences release these blocks that often manifest as tension, worries, stress and apprehension. They afford the power to turn difficult emotions and thought-patterns into grace, freedom, joy and love. This is how we can open our- selves to communion with the soul and are able to live according to our higher will and purpose in life. We become more conscious of who we truly are and are better able to raise our vibration.

Kristbjörg's Icelandic Flower Essences contain the vibration or essence of the plants within pure Icelandic spring water. It can be said that a plant's essence is its aura or life force, and each and every plant has a specific vibration, energy or essence wholly its own. This life force or vibration of the plants is what we are after because its energy can serve us where we most need it. It is in fact the plant's vibration, and not its corporeal body, that is collected and contained within each specific flower remedy. Therefore it is completely safe for someone who may be allergic to certain plants to use flower essences, as there is nothing there that could cause an allergic reaction. Cognac is added to preserve the quality of the essences. Those who may be allergic to alcohol are advised to dilute the flower essences in water before administering them under the tongue. Flower essence consumption would not, however, make one "fall off the wagon", but it is always good for those who have recently undergone therapy for alcoholism to dilute the essences as an extra precautionary measure. And, while on this matter, it should be added that flower remedies are of invaluable help to those who are receiving therapy of any kind.

It is quite impossible for flower essences to have a negative effect. They do not heal or fix one part of us at the expense of another. It is also impossible for you to choose "the wrong" flower essence remedy, because, if you are not in need of its effect, it will simply flow through you without your sensing any effect at all. A possible, and short-lived, side-effect can be experienced in that one may sense an emotion while it is being worked on and released.

This introduction of Kristbjörg's Icelandic Flower Essences comes in 3 sets: Awareness I, II and III.

The first set, Awareness I, works on the personality to make emotions and thought-patterns more harmonious, and establishing an unhindered flow of energy in the emotions, mind, energy bodies and chakras. The chakras are wheel-like energycentres, connecting all the parts contained within us as a whole and distributing energy between all these different parts. Each of the 9 bottles within this set works on a specific chakra to release tension and blockages, bringing it, the meridians and the organs it connects to, into better harmony. For instance, the Joy & Laughter Flower Remedy works on the heart chakra and the meridians connected to it. The heart itself is strengthened and its healing power activated. It will be easier for us to be at peace with life and to see its and our own comic sides. The result is joy and peace. Awareness I helps to bring the earthly, etheric, emotional and mental parts of us into harmony. The connection to our soul will be unobstructed and the light of our soul will shine brightly through us.

Awareness II entails further work on the soul connection, strengthening the light of our soul, our higher mind and emotions. The remedies in this set help to open the Akasha files and we are able to raise our vibration to an even higher level.

Awareness III is intended for those of us who are working to draw the light from our innermost essence into ourselves through all the layers and energy bodies. Further information on Awareness II and III is to be found within each set.

How to use the flower essences Please read the information pertaining to each bottle in this set and you will see which one will be of the most use to you at each time. You shake the bottle you have chosen and place 3 drops under the tongue 4-8 times daily until you feel better. (Please make sure the dropper does not come into contact with your mouth.) This method works on surface emotions. You can also put drops of the chosen essence into your tea, water bottle, bath water, etc.

The Life Power remedy (sold separately) can be brought along wherever you go. It serves as a wonderful first-aid and is to be used as described above. It can also be used as a topical remedy, in which instance the drops are massaged onto the hurt area of the body.

Purposeful use For the essences to work on a deeper level, you put 21 drops of the chosen remedy into a 30 ml bottle with a dropper, and fill the bottle up with water. Shake well. Take 7 drops in a little bit of water 3 times daily until you have finished the 30 ml bottle.

Systematic purposeful use You can use the essences in the Awareness I set of flower essences systematically and to good purpose by starting with 21 drops of the Self-Confidence remedy (the root chakra bottle) in a 30 ml bottle filled up with water as described above, then moving on to the remedy next in line until you have worked your way through all 9 bottles. By doing so you will bring harmony to yourself as a whole and the flow of energy will be even and strong within all chakras and energy systems. This could be followed by moving on to the remedies within the Awareness II and III sets of flower essences.

Meditation Try taking 21 drops from the bottle of your choice in a little bit of water before meditation. You might, for instance, want to meditate on the qualities the plants stand for or the chakra they are intended for.

Awareness I 
The Awareness I Pack consists of 9 bottles of powerful Icelandic flower essences. Each of the bottles contains a different blend of vibrational mixtures made from carefully selected plants.
